Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Residential has exciting and rewarding Direct Support Professional (DSP) positions available. We are looking for motivated, dedicated candidates that have a passion to support adults with developmental disabilities. Job Summary:

The primary function of the position is to provide services and supports to adults with developmental, mental health and/or physical disabilities. DSP will support daily programming activities in the residential facility and in the community at large. All duties are subject to policy, procedures, and supervisory or management directives, and may be changed at any time. Specific DSP tasks and responsibilities in preparing and serving nutritious meals daily, following menus, providing snacks at mid-afternoons and mid-evenings. Assist with basic living skills ADL’s, communication support, community interaction, and recreation and assistance with consumer finances as directed. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a clean, safe, stimulating living environment, providing transportation, and supporting individuals to become active members of their community. Service provisions focus on maintaining or enhancing the personal choice, individual’s well-being, self-esteem and teaching functional skills that are alternatives to mal-adaptive behavior as per Behavioral Plans. Other requirements include continuing staff development and other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Requirements:

DSP 1 & 2 Certification;

First Aid /CPR; CPI

Able to Clear DOJ/Background

All applicants will be tested. Overnight and other shifts available.
